Standard Staining Sequence
- Prepare Smear: Ensure the slide has been stained with Carbol Fuchsin (heated to steaming) and properly decolorized with acid-alcohol.
- Apply Counterstain: Flood the thoroughly washed, damp slide with the Malachite Green solution.
- Incubation: Allow the solution to remain on the slide for 1 to 2 minutes.
